Our Home Library....
We have so many books in our home library. There are so many different ‘kinds’ of books. For example, read alouds, easy readers, leveled readers, story books, reference books, and books that go with themes. The more we accumulated books the more overwhelmed I felt. I knew I wanted them to be organized but also to be ‘UP’ and out of the kids reach. If they have 24 hour access to our books, then they become unorganized very quickly and it becomes overwhelming for the kiddos. Here is a picture of our solution.
I have also created ‘Library Tags’ or labels. These labels help me to see what is in each of the Magazine Files I bought from IKEA. I purchased them for $1.99 for a pack of 5. I am very pleased with them. They are cardboard but very durable.

Homeschool Letter Y
Y is for Yak!!!
Theme: Finishing up Pumpkins and Fall Theme
The printables used in this post came from 1plus1plus1equals1.com’s Animal ABC, AllAboutReading, LearnCreateLove, Quality-Kids-Crafts, and COAH.
All About Reading (Pre) letter X page.
More Letter Y work!!
We love play dough and these pages from 1plus1plus1equals1.com are great.
We just found these Alphabet Letter Puppets. I plan to implement these every week starting in January.
LearnCreateLove is a great website. I love these printables because they print with very little ink. If you have a little one that loves to paint there is so many options on this site.
She loved this Number Wheel from COAH.
We are starting a new sight word program using a Sight Word Caterpillar. This is supplemental to al the sight word activities are and will be doing with Jordyn. So far these are the words she knows; see, a, I, the, and, is.
This is our last Pumpkins activity and we have been geering up for our Thanksgiving and Turkey ideas. Check out what we have found so far on our Turkeys and Thanksgiving Pinterest Board.
Her finished work……

Homeschool Letter X
We are getting close to finishing the alphabet A-Z for the second time.
Woohoo!
These printables are from 1plus1plus1equals1.com's Animal ABCs, Horizons Preschool for Threes, and ABCJesusLovesMe.com
X is for X-ray fish…
ABC Basket.Clip Cards from 1plus1plus1equals1.com
She really wants to trim the animals for me each week now.
I do love the extra help, for sure.
We have decorated the X.
Prewriting work, then some painting.
All About Reading PreLevel
We gathered sticks to make an 'X' with our "All About Reading" letter work page. Matching socks from out "Horizons Preschool for Threes".
We Love Fall!
I bought this in the one spot at Target.
More Letter X work...
I found this activity from a Pinterest post. See my "X is for..." Pinterest Board. We traced her hand. She loved this.
We glued down the q-tips to represent ‘bones.’
We talked about bones and watched videos about bones and the human body.
Tracing our number of the week from ABCJesusLovesMe.com
More letter work from 1plus1plus1equals1.com
Letter Maze
More Horizons work. Counting Fruit Cards.
This is such a good action shot of Jordyn counting aloud.
I did not have to tell her what to do at all.
She jumped right in and started counting and matching.
I am not sure if she was bored or thinking, haha!
Even though she already knows her shapes, I like to get old stuff out that she hasn’t seen in a while, just to see if she will be interested.
She finishes anyway.
Her finished X work!
